Burlap bags are made of coffee bean bags and remnant Kitenge fabric. They’re made by the seamstresses in our sewing program in rural Kenya.
Use them to give away a bottle of your choice, or dress up a flower bouquet.
Boro Bean, a local coffee shop in Hopewell Borough, NJ, where Seeds to Sew headquarters are located, donates their burlap coffee bean bags that we then ship to Kenya and our seamstresses turn them into these gift bags, decorating them with their Kitenge fabric remnants. Each bag has a label inside that is signed by the seamstress who made it.
