This Sunday, October 16 we had the privilege to share our mission with 9 girls of the Girl Scout troop #2974 from Oakville Service Unit. As their service project, they organized over 1,600 Enkisoma bracelets into sizes and bundled them for easy inventory. We are grateful for their tremendous help and enthusiasm!
Enkisoma bracelets are made out of recycled car tires and glass beads. Women and girls bead bracelets as a way to pay for their school fees. We sell the bracelets on our website, through student ambassadors, at markets, through resellers and in our shop in Hopewell, NJ.
If you know of a group who would like to help us with a project like this, please don’t hesitate to contact us and let’s talk details! We can come to you (if you are within 30 minutes driving distance of Hopewell, NJ), we can meet half way, or we can do a Skype session. There are many projects that we need help with, anything from online research to decorating “shopping” bags with stamps and drawings, to sorting inventory or assembling products for sale.
If you are interested in raising money for our organization, we will supply products for sale, as well as any supporting literature and signage. Contact us today and help us help more girls stay in school!
